Solutions & deliverables

01

Feasibility

Objectives, route assumptions, constraints and dependencies. Before committing resources, we review season, terrain, access, team experience and required permits to judge whether a plan is feasible.

Example | Assessing whether a team can complete a planned ski route within the limited Antarctic summer window, and listing the risks to address before departure.

02

Planning

Logistics, equipment, team readiness and partner coordination — including transport, resupply, permits and the needs of partners such as film crews or sponsors — so every party knows its role before departure.

Example | Preparing equipment lists, food and fuel calculations, satellite communications plans, and daily itineraries with weather contingency days.

03

Training

Field skills and expedition preparation relevant to the agreed programme. This can include ice-cap travel, sledge hauling, camp skills and vehicle operation, practised in near-realistic conditions.

Example | Practising sledge hauling, crevasse rescue, tent pitching, and cooking and staying warm in low temperatures on a glacier.

04

Operations

Specified field support and coordination with qualified providers. We coordinate on site during the field phase so the team can focus on its own objectives.

Example | Daily review of weather and route conditions with itinerary adjustments, and scheduled contact with logistics and rescue providers.

CASE STUDY
South Pole Ski Expedition

A journey towards the South Pole demands preparation for extreme cold, remote travel and the practical realities of moving across Antarctica.
